 NEW Crystal Quartz Resin as of May 2026. At Ultra Bond we altered the formula. Stone-Breaks will disappear and 20 and 40 have 3-Point Bend Test scores of over 100% new glass strength, which meets pre-loss condition. We were able to do that NOT curing under pressure (CUP). Not curing under pressure (CUP) normally can reverse the wicking of the glass that took place and with low viscosity (under 40-45cps ) there will be shrinkage.  With the Wonder Bar Tools, both the 2-bar bridge and one-bar with the 3-inch suction cup and the Black Tool have pure compression. This mean the break and all the legs are flexed open at once symmetrically. When the flex is released (we call the "Flex and Release Method")  with the resin under pressure there is a forceful wicking of the glass and an overfill of the legs and bullseye. Doing this twice during the repair as shown in our videos with the new formula reached 100% + new laminated glass strength not cured under pressure (CUP).

NOTE: With the Single Wonder Bar Tool with the 3-inch suction cup, Flex and Release by pushing on the end of the bar with your thumb and then release when the legs fill. Do this twice during the repair as shown with the videos of the Wonder Bar Bridge and Black Tool as well as the usual one minute vacuum during the repair to degas the resin.

NOTE: What can cause a spots in the pit ?

(a) The way you remove the tool and (b) the way you pit fill.

There is no shrinkage with this resin so anything in the pit is the glass particles in the resin.

How to Prevent this:

1. Not flexing and releasing TWICE which causes the overfill so the resin comes out the pit when you are done and remove the tool. However when you are done and removing the tool you are doing the second release of the 2nd flex and release cycle on the break and glass while the resin is under piston pressure. With the Wonder Bar Flexing Bridge, 1st release the flex bolt off the glass, then slowly loosen the cylinder until all the flex on the break and glass is released. The cylinder should be loose, to the point where the resin could leak out. Then push the tool off the impact. The pit should be filled with resin.
2. Then level the resin in the pit with a razor blade. Put pit filler /2400 or 1600 on top or bottom of the pit and roll the tab on to push the CQ resin out of the pit. Then cure.
3. Another method especailly with large pits, is to cure under pressure after you release the flex on the glass but still have the resin under pressure. After curing when removing the tool put the injector into the vacuum mode to suck the Crystal Quartz out of the pit, then wipe the pit, pit fill and cure OR do pit fill method of step number 2 above.

This is the 40 CPS stone chip windshield repair resin. Our 40 resin has Mechanical Strength of 108% of new windshield glass. Use to fill star-breaks  and can be used in cold temperatures. The 13 ml bottle of 40 cps will get you about 325  drops of windshield repair resin.
